'Unorthodox mothers' is on the brew
Finally starting to get back in my #flowzone after a couple of days downtime with my 5 year old daughter in Canggu. I recently flew back to Perth (a 4 hour flight each way) to pick her up for some #mummytime. It’s great to have our family of three all back together again in our version of #heavenonearth at our local homestay in Canggu. She has started back at her #balischool today so I am able to get back into my #kuiniklub mahi!
We currently have 13 amazing #kuini inside our current #innercircle program called #crystalcore. Each program that we run has a different focus, flavour and feel to it, and this particular one is for the #kuiniklubbers with a specific interest in getting their #online #kaupapa cranking + also making them money. The idea of course is not to merely make money for moneys sake (that is so twenty years ago) but to make their #mahiaroha sustainable for them so that they can pour all their time, energy and resource into what they #love, rather than having to split their energy between a J.O.B or other energy consuming activity that takes their focus away from what they really want to be doing.
Our second current program #highpriestess has 16 #kuini involved in it, and so far we are up to module three in our journey together, with two more modules to go. I never knew when I started KUINIKLUB just how much I would end up loving it and just how amazing the wāhine that came into this kaupapa would be. Really, it was all a big experiment, and it still is (I love that!)
I could never have predicted this journey so far, and I know that this is only the beginnng. These first two years have merely been setting the foundation for this work to flourish and grow from, and frankly all of us in KUINIKLUB are all just getting started!
I have seen too, that some of my new content and programs are going to be around #sovereignparenting, being an #unorthodoxmother and standing in your power as a parent that just doesn’t fit in with any one existing group or style of parenting. I have seen that I am not the only one, and there is a NEED for more support, encouragement, acceptance, guidance, and learning resources for other wāhine like me that have no interest in standardized vanilla education. I am quite excited about the ideas I am having for this new direction in my mahi as I have been studying and experimenting with different ideas and techniques for #worldschooling for the past two years building up my knowledge and experience, largely between Aotearoa, Australia and Bali.
If you don’t know what #worldschooling is, you can look it up and have a read. For me, it is the perfect style of education for who I am as a mother, who we are as a family, our lifestyle, and our adventurous #rainbow child.
My green juice and coffee has just arrived!
Lately I have been connecting with some amazing #wāhine #māori who have chosen to #homeschool their children and I find our conversations very interesting, and the similarities in our outlooks as mothers is comforting. It can be lonely when you just don’t fit in and when you have #wildy different ideas from 98% of the people around you in #realife. Such is the power of being able to connect with other like minds online, to learn from each other, share stories, learn, and be there for each other, no matter where in the world we may all be located at the time!
